FIX | Entra ID user documents are not being held for printing

Documents sent from stations integrated with Entra ID might not have been properly retained by NDD Print Releaser due to the way user identification was processed.

We have adjusted how Entra ID users are handled to ensure that documents are stored correctly and remain available for release.

FIX | Printers imported via CSV are not updating the collected information

After migrating the database and reimporting the printers via a CSV file, some printers might not have correctly updated the information collected from the equipment in NDD Print Releaser.

We adjusted how the information is handled during import, ensuring that printer data is updated correctly after registration via CSV.

FIX | Print jobs sent via the mobile app are not being released

Print jobs sent via the mobile app would display normally on the printer’s panel but would not print after being released.

We updated the component responsible for processing these jobs, ensuring that documents sent via the app are released and printed correctly.

FIX | Incorrect readings of supplies

When supply levels reached minimum thresholds, some equipment might display 100% instead of 1% during monitoring by NDD Print Host.

We adjusted how the collected values are processed to ensure that supply levels are correctly converted to percentages, providing greater accuracy in the information displayed.

IMPROVEMENT | Compatibility with Windows Server 2025

We have expanded the list of supported operating systems to include Windows Server 2025, in the Standard and Datacenter editions.

Compatibility is available starting with NDD Print 360 Local Server - Version 5.65.14. Earlier versions are not compatible with Windows Server 2025.

FIX | Installation requiring elevated administrative permissions in SQL Server

During application installation, it was necessary to use a SQL Server user with elevated administrative permissions (sysadmin), which could prevent the process from completing in environments with more restrictive security policies.

Starting with version 5.65.14, we have reduced the required permissions depending on the scenario:

• To create databases during installation: dbcreator permissions are required on the server, and db_datareader and db_datawriter permissions are required on the master database.

• To use existing databases: db_owner permissions are required on all databases used by the solution.

For earlier versions, elevated permissions are still required.

NEW | Evolution of the NDD Print Client Canon ALP features

Version 5.1.1 expands the features available on the equipment’s panel, offers tools to ensure operational continuity, and provides greater control over the use of printing resources.

Among the new features are:

• Equipment panel information: allows you to check disk space, quota balances, and server information, as well as add quotas directly from the equipment. Learn more in the manual.

• Contingency mode: allows you to access the equipment’s native functions, such as copying, email, scanning, and faxing, when communication with the configured server is lost. Learn more about contingency mode.

• Quota control: allows you to control the use of printing features, check the available balance, and track usage after each operation. See the quota manual.

• Print policies: Allows you to apply restriction, alert, and conversion rules to jobs sent by users, including conversions to black-and-white printing or two-sided printing. See the policies manual.

We have standardized messages and icons for physical authentication to support multiple identification methods (card, biometrics, facial recognition, barcode, etc.), replacing specific references to cards with generic terms based on identifiers.

We have updated the device login to ensure compatibility with various authentication configurations and Department ID Management. We have also added error handling for native login failures, preventing inconsistent access and improving the user experience in incompatible configurations.

We have added logs to monitor the authentication and login flow on the device, including native login calls and user context retrieval. These improvements make it easier to identify and analyze issues.

IMPROVEMENT | Improved communication between the NDD Print MF Epson and Digital Shift

We have improved communication between the NDD Print MF Epson and Digital Shift by adding a check to verify whether the printer is registered with Digital Shift.

As a result, after the printer is removed, the Digital Shift icon is no longer displayed on the screen, preventing it from appearing when it shouldn't and avoiding potential errors.

The NDD Print MF Xerox now supports the SNMP v3 protocol, expanding compatibility with printers that use it and ensuring more secure communication between the module and the devices.

With this improvement, environments that use SNMP v3 will have greater security and control when communicating with compatible printers.

FIX | NDD Print MF Konica Admin closing when adding printers on servers with different languages

When adding a printer via NDD Print MF Konica Admin, the application might close unexpectedly on servers configured with a language other than Brazilian Portuguese.

We adjusted the conversion of values received from the printer so that it works correctly regardless of the language.

FIX | Print authorization failure for Active Directory users

Active Directory (AD) users added by the NDD Print Host might have encountered a authorization failure when attempting to release documents for printing.

We have adjusted the authentication settings to ensure authorization and print release for both NDD Print users and Active Directory users.

FIX | NPL files are being sent to the errors folder

During the NPL file consolidation workflow, the NDD Print Host could redirect files to the errors folder.

We adjusted the registry keys to ensure that files are created correctly and securely, preventing unintended redirection.

FIX | Delays in Environmental Impact Data

Environmental impact information might take a long time to load or might not be displayed after using print-saving features.

We have optimized the processing of this information to improve performance and ensure that environmental impact data is displayed correctly.
