Policies - NDD Print Client Canon

When you enable control via Policies, the authenticated user's tasks (Release documents) will be subject to one or more filters set by the administrator, which are:

Restriction Policies

  • Printing: After initiating the print process, the authenticated user will be alerted of the reason why the document was not allowed to be printed. This restriction may also occur when attempting to print a delegated document if the delegating user has restrictions;

Alert Policies

After initiating the print process, the authenticated user will be notified of the reason why the document has not yet been allowed for printing. In this case, the user can resolve the issue with the documents and allow printing. This behavior also occurs when attempting to print a delegated document if the delegating user is subject to restrictions.

Conversion Settings

After starting the printing process, the logged-in user will be alerted that the documents can be converted (mono and/or double-sided). Select whether you want to convert them and click the print icon to complete the process.

Policy settings (restrictions, alerts, and/or redirection), including the definition of affected groups and users, as well as the reasons for blocking, must be managed directly in the NDD Print Portal 360. Refer to the portal for detailed configuration instructions.
