IMPROVEMENT | Compatibility with NDD Print Host and NDD Print Releaser, and the addition of quotas in NDD Print 360 Mobile

We have improved the compatibility of NDD Print 360 Mobile Android with different versions of NDD Print Host and NDD Print Releaser. The app now adapts the available features and document formats based on the versions installed in the environment.

We have also added the ability to add credit using a prepaid card directly through the app.

We have completed the first phase of improvements to the NDD Print Client Access Lexmark embedded interface, with the goal of adapting it for displays 4.3 inches and larger.

In this first release, we have updated the screens and features related to:

• authentication;

• pending documents;

• saved documents;

• initial menu;

• policies;

• document properties;

• print results.

Text, keyboards, and numbers have been resized to provide better visibility and interaction, without compromising usability or altering existing workflows.

The remaining screens will be updated in the future, continuing the process of adapting the interface.

IMPROVEMENT | Server management for NDD Print 360 Mobile

We have added a new option in NDD Print Host to register and manage, using the hostname, the servers used by NDD Print 360 Mobile, making it easier to configure and identify available servers.

Under Authentication Settings > Advanced > Configure Servers, you can list, add, edit, and delete registered servers.

NDD Print 360 Mobile now offers more control before sending a document to print. Users can adjust options in the submission workflow, making the process more flexible.

What's New:

• Paper size selection, with support for more formats, including A3, A4, A5, B4, B5, and others

• Setting the print orientation (portrait or landscape)

• Print all pages or only specific pages

• Support for printing various file formats, including documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and images, without the need to convert to PDF.

In addition, the app performs validations to ensure that the specified configurations are valid before sending the job to print, providing a more secure experience.

improvement | Simplified authentication and server selection in NDD Print 360 Mobile

We have improved the authentication process for NDD Print 360 Mobile, simplifying server configuration and exchange.

Upon first access, the user can enter the hostnames of the NDD Print Host and NDD Print Releaser servers. For subsequent accesses, the last server used will be automatically filled in. If you want to select another server, you can do so from a list of all servers that have NDD Print Host.

After login, a list of servers with NDD Print Releaser installed will be displayed, allowing the user to choose on which server to release or hold their documents.

FIX | Duplicate submissions of the same document are not being held

When the same document was sent multiple times to the virtual queue with the same characteristics, only the first submission was retained, while the others were deleted and were not available for release.

We adjusted the retention process so that each submission is processed independently, allowing multiple instances of the same document to remain available for release.

FIX | “Address not found” event being logged in Event Viewer

NDD Print Releaser might periodically log the error “Address not found” in Windows Event Viewer when querying held documents, even though this had no impact on the solution’s operation.

We adjusted how these queries are handled to prevent the error from being logged incorrectly in Event Viewer, while maintaining the application’s normal operation.

NEW | Integration with Microsoft Entra ID

We have implemented integration with Microsoft Entra ID, allowing users to authenticate on the printer panel.

We have enhanced the traces to improve the traceability of job runs and facilitate the analysis and diagnosis of problems.

Now, the logs allow you to identify failures, slowdowns, and the completion of authentication, secure release, and accounting job runs. We have also included the communication tests performed by the Collector and configuration information, indicating whether they were set via ECT or through the printer’s panel.

NEW | Support for multiple domains in accounting

The NDD Print Collector HP Workpath now allows you to configure multiple domains for user authentication and accounting. The configuration can be performed through the printer's panel or the NDD Print ECT tool.

FIX | Active Directory users are not authorized to print

When attempting to release a document to the printer, users registered through Active Directory (AD) might not have been authorized, preventing printing.

We have adjusted the authentication process to ensure that NDD Print and Active Directory users are properly authorized when releasing documents.

FIX | A printer that has already been registered is not being updated with the new IP address

When overwriting the configuration of an existing printer identified by the same serial number, the IP address and new settings might not be updated.

We have adjusted the process to recognize the printer by its serial number and update the IP address and associated settings, such as SNMP, when necessary.

FIX | Error testing the connection to the SQL Server database

The connection test for SQL Server databases hosted in the cloud could fail when the certificate presented by the server was not recognized as trusted by the environment.

We adjusted the connection settings to allow communication with these environments without the certificate trust chain validation preventing access to the database.
