The EcoToner functionality is specific to NDD providers

To use EcoToner, it must be enabled and licensed, to do so, contact the NDD through the account executive

Register a default rule

The default rule should be registered when the intention is to apply a single savings rule to the entire printer environmet, regardless of manufacturer/model or printer. It will also apply to printers that are not assigned to a specific or exclusion rule.

To register a default rule > menu Settings > Ecotoner > Edit default rule

• Enable the Enabled checkbox;

• Enter the percentage of savings (between 1% and 60%) and click Save.

Create a specific rule by manufacturer and model or printers

The specific rule must be registered when the intention is to have different rules or no rules defined by manufacturer/model or printer.

To register a specific rule > menu Create rule

• Enter the rule name and select the Enable rule checkbox;

• Select one of the rule types:

  • Savings: by enabling this option, savings will be applied only to the selected printers or manufacturer/model;

  • Exclusion: when enabling this option, no rules will be applied to the selected printers or manufacturer/model.

When choosing the...

• economy option:

  • Inform the savings percentage to be applied;

  • Choose printers or manufacturer/model;

• exclusion option:

  • Choose printers or manufacturer/model;

Printers

• Click on Add Printer link;

• Select printers;

• Click Add;

• Go back to the Create rule screen and click Save.

Manufacturer/Model

• Click on Select Manufacturer button or Select Model button;

• Select the manufacturer and/or model;

• Click Select;

• Click Add and finally Save.
