Configure and start implementation

Next, we will discuss the implementation journey of the NDD embedded solution through the web portal. At the end of this process, the printer will be fully prepared to account for and/or retain print jobs.

Instructions

1. Configuration of Requested Data

  • Enter the necessary data

    • Printer: Enter the IP address or hostname of the printer to be configured

    • NDD Print Host: The address of the NDD Print Host server will be filled in

    • NDD Print Releaser: The address of the NDD Print Releaser server will be filled in

    • NDD Print MF HP: The address of the NDD Print MF HP server will be filled in

2. Profile Selection

  • Select the work function profile

    • Select the profile that contains the functions you want to install on the printer.

For the profile to be displayed, it must have been created previously in NDD Print MF HP. If an addition profile has not yet been created, it can be done here.

3. Print Group

  • Select the print group

    • Determine which NDD Print Releaser print group the device will belong to

For the print group to be displayed, it must have been previously created in NDD Print Releaser. If the print group has not been created, it can be done here.

4. Data Confirmation

  • Review the information

    • After checking the data, click on start to begin the implementation process

5. Process Completion

  • Final screen of the implementation process

    • On the final screen, you will see a summary of the implementation process, showing a summary of enabled work functions, the option to configure a new printer or return to the start of the portal

Add pending mode

There are situations where, during the execution of NDD HP Printer Deploy, there will be no communication with the printer for various reasons.

In such cases, the deployment process will continue, but the printer will be added to NDD Print MF HP with the status “Add pending”.

While the printer is in this status, attempts to communicate with the device will be made at fixed time intervals (which cannot be changed), and the status will be updated to “Success” as soon as communication is successfully established.
