Installing the NDD Print Client Pantum

The installation of the NDD Print Client Pantum is streamlined through the use of the NDD Print Embedded Configuration Tool (ECT), which centralizes the entire process.

The process consists of two key steps: installing the software on the printer and then configuring it. This guide details the implementation of the embedded application on Pantum devices.

If the software is already installed on the device, you can proceed directly to the setup step.

Before you begin

Installation

  1. Install the NDD Print Embedded Configuration Tool - ECT

ECT is typically installed on the same server as the NDD Print suite modules. However, since its sole function is to install and send configurations to Pantum devices, there is no need to install it on a server.

  2. Open the NDD Print Embedded Configuration Tool (ECT) and select the manufacturer 'Pantum'

  3. Click Install

  4. Enter the information below:

    1. Single Printer

      1. Address: Enter the IP address of the printer on which the NDD Print Client Pantum will be installed

      2. Username: Inform the printer administrator

      3. Password: Enter the printer administrator password

    2. Import

      1. Click the “Import File” button and select the installation file for the NDD Print Client Pantum upload.

  5. After entering the required information and selecting the installation file, click “Send to Printers” to begin the installation process for the NDD Print Client Pantum.

The NDD Print Embedded Configuration Tool (ECT) enables the bulk installation and configuration of multiple printers. To do this, a .CSV file containing three columns is used: one for the printer’s IP address, another for the username, and a third for the device’s administrative password.
