Failure
The portal records the supply exchange and moves the item to No Origin, even if there was no physical replacement of the equipment.
As a result, the customer may identify improper transactions or incorrect entry records in No Origin, causing stock inconsistencies.
Cause
The current reading of the supply is higher than the previous one, causing the system to interpret that an exchange occurred.
When the supply identifier changes or the level increases compared to the previous reading, the system assumes that a new supply has been added. If there is no corresponding origin in stock, the item may be assigned to No Origin.
Incorrect behavior may also occur if the agent is running a non-approved or outdated version.
Solution
-
Check the agent version installed on the equipment
-
If the agent is out of date or using an unapproved version, update it to the approved version
-
Review the supply’s reading history and confirm whether there was an increase in the reported level compared to the previous reading
-
Check whether the supply’s identifier has changed
-
Access the NDD Print MPS portal
-
Locate the Trusted Exchange Rules settings
-
Configure higher levels to reduce erroneous exchange records
-
Save the rule
-
Wait for the equipment to send the next readings
-
Verify that the supply is no longer being erroneously recorded as No Origin
-
If the problem persists, collect the equipment’s reading history
-
Also collect the agent logs
-
Forward the evidence to the technical team for analysis
Additional Information
-
An increase in the supply level may be interpreted by the system as a supply exchange
-
Updating the agent is the first recommended step when detecting invalid readings or inconsistent behavior
-
Do not ignore the origin without validating its impact on the supply completion flow
-
Adjust the reliable exchange rule according to the actual behavior of the monitored equipment
-
The reading history identifies actual exchanges, inconsistent readings, or identifier changes
-
Before changing stock, validate the origin of the reading in the monitoring system
