Failure
On Brother printers with a built-in ID card reader (for example, the MFC-L6912DW model), users can log in to the equipment but cannot register their ID card. No ID card code is displayed in Windows Event Log.
Solution
To resolve this failure, configure the printer as shown in the following image:
