Apache Log4j Security Update for Ricoh NDD Print Remote Operation
Description
A vulnerability has been identified related to the use of an outdated version of the Apache Log4j library in Ricoh NDD Print Remote Operation 1.1.3, running on a Windows Server 2019 environment configured as a print server.
Cause of the Vulnerability
The vulnerability was caused by the use of outdated versions of Apache Log4j (up to versions prior to 2.25.3), which contain known security failures resulting from improper implementation in components of the logging library.
Impact
This update reduces security risks related to the interception or manipulation of data in transit, as well as mitigating potential exploits that could compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications using the library.
