Usage

The tool's interface is simple and intuitive: just enter the IP or hostname of the printer on the network and it will automatically check whether the Copy, Print, and Scan work functions are compatible with the NDD Print MF Canon module and the CPCA protocol.

Instructions

  1. Before using the tool, perform copy, print, and scan jobs on the printer

On some models, after restarting, the data from the jobs performed is deleted. This may cause an incorrect indication of incompatibility if the tool is run immediately after restarting the equipment without any jobs performed.

  1. Open the executable file (nddPrint.Canon.Tool.exe)

  2. In the IP/Hostname field, enter the IP address or hostname of the Canon printer

  3. Click the Add button

The tool will display the following information in a table:

  • IP: address entered.

  • Model: device model (or UNKNOWN, if not identified).

  • Copy: indicates whether the copy function is compatible with NDD Print MF Canon software and the CPCA protocol or not.

  • Print: indicates whether the print function is compatible with the NDD Print MF Canon software and the CPCA protocol or not.

  • Scan: indicates whether the scan function is compatible with the NDD Print MF Canon software and the CPCA protocol or not.

The information obtained is for reference only and is not sent to other modules or systems.
