Configuring document Auditing

This guide intends to help you configure and use the document auditing functionality.

NDD Print Agent Auditing is only available for the Windows operating system.

How does document auditing work?

The NDD Print Auditing component converts printed documents into PDF format, allowing auditors to access them later.

Before you start

Activate Auditing

  1. Open the NDD Print Agent

  2. Go to the Settings menu

  3. Click on Add

  4. Enter the EnableAuditing setting and set its value to 1

  5. Click on Save

To disable auditing, simply change the value of the key to 0.

Configure the folder for saving PDF files

  1. Open the NDD Print Agent

  2. Go to the Settings menu

  3. Click on Add

  4. Enter the AuditingFolder setting and fill in its value with the path where the files will be saved

The default setting is C:\Windows\Temp\Auditing

  1. Click on Save

Other available configurations

AuditingErrorFolder - Contains the directory to which the spool files that could not be converted to .PDF will be copied.

If this directory is not configured, the files will be deleted automatically.

AuditingPublishEnabled - Enables or disables the publishing of .PDF files to a shared directory on the network.

For this option to work correctly, the AuditingPublishFolder setting must be enabled.

AuditingPublishFolder - Network directory where the converted files will be saved.
